INGREDIENTS
1/2 lb hot Italian sausage
1/2 lb sweet Italian sausage
2 green peppers
1 red pepper
2 large onions
2 small cans tomato sauce
1 lb spaghetti
DIRECTIONS
In a large pot, combine the sausage with 1 cup water. Cook over medium heat, covered, 30 minutes. Remove the cover and continue cooking until the liquid evaporates and sausage is well browned, about 15 minutes. Drain fat from the pan, reserving a few spoonfuls. Slice sausage in 1/2″ thick slices, and seed peppers, and slice in strips. Peel onions and slice thinly. Saute vegetables in hot fat til tender. Add tomato sauce and sausage and cook for 15-20 minutes. Cook spaghetti and drain. Spoon sauce on too. Serves 6.
